The theme of water is central to the design of the Light Waterfall. The architectural design communicates the relationship between water, architecture, and nature through a transparent concept. The interior is divided into a show area and a meeting area, separated by a dimensional lattice wall. Adjacent to the meeting area is a water pond, encased by a continuous glass wall, serving as a key interior landscape.
The project's unique properties lie in its use of materials and light. The main materials used in the project are lavender marble, silicon calcium board, and outdoor wood floor. A luminous water curtain wall, consisting of LED light strips, forms the exterior elevation of the architecture. The running light strip mimics the flow of water, reflecting in the water pond and creating a stunning visual effect.
The design process was not without its challenges. The team had to design a building sales center that would not only stand out and attract customers but also elevate the natural environment of the community. The result is a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with a play of materials and lights that is truly eye-catching.
The Light Waterfall project was recognized for its innovative design and was awarded the Platinum A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that showcase unmatched professionalism, contribute to societal wellbeing, and advance the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology.
